ADMINISTRATION TEAM SELECTED FOR RADCLIFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Radcliff Admin team named

Jennifer Lewis will serve as the interim principal at Radcliff Elementary School for the 2019-20 school year.  Current North Middle School Assistant Principal Lisa Sturman will serve as the school’s assistant principal.

“Ms. Lewis and Ms. Sturman will do a fantastic job at Radcliff Elementary,” Hardin County Schools Superintendent Teresa Morgan said.  “They have the wisdom, experience and instructional knowledge to help the school grow and students continue on their path to success.”

“I’m excited about this new opportunity,” Ms. Lewis said.  “Radcliff Elementary is a wonderful school.  The students work hard and the staff is dedicated to student growth.  I’m looking forward to working with everyone to ensure students obtain the best educational opportunities available to them.”

Ms. Lewis, a former principal and assistant principal in Hardin County Schools, served the district last school year as an Instructional Practice Coach alongside former James T. Alton Middle School Principal Jama Bennett. 

“In her previous role, Ms. Lewis became familiar with staff members and formed strong bonds with them,” Morgan added.  “She also knows students, their families and has a firm grasp of successful strategies that will help students excel.  Work ethic, dedication and determination are her hallmarks.  We all look forward to working alongside her, Ms. Sturman and the Radcliff Elementary School family.”

Ms. Lewis taught at Bluegrass Middle School for nine years and was assistant principal at the former Radcliff Middle School (the same building that now houses Radcliff Elementary) and G C Burkhead Elementary School for five years. She was principal at Lincoln Trail Elementary School for more than 11 years.She retired from the district in 2017 as Director of Federal Programs and Leadership Development.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for me,” Ms. Sturman said.“I’m excited to get to work with the amazing staff at Radcliff Elementary.Ms. Lewis has a wealth of experience and will provide a tremendously diverse environment for us all to grow.”
