Welcome! I'm Mike Robinson, and I'm excited to be an assistant principal at West Hardin Middle School. The 2021-22 school year will be my ninth year as an educator. I taught English and coached the Academic Team at John Hardin High School before taking an administrative role here at WHMS.
All learning takes place when we are just a little bit uncomfortable; as such, all students should be expected to work hard by parents and expected to work hard by teachers. There will some bumps along the road, but those bumps indicate that your student is moving and making progress instead of staying still or, worse, falling behind. I will strive to be professional every day when I walk through the doors at WHMS, and will always give your student the respect they deserve.
I welcome communication from families; please feel free to send me an email with any questions you may have.
The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called 'truth'.
The purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one.
