Hi, my name is Joy Cox. I have been teaching for 17 years and have been here at Cecilia Elementary for 12 years. I work as the school interventionist in both math and reading. I enjoy working with students and helping them reach success through their education. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world. I have an open door policy and encourage all parents to feel welcome to come into my classroom. I also coach the volleyball team here at CVES and am the Green Team sponsor. I check my e-mail frequently and that is the best way to get in touch with me.
On a personal note my husband and I have two wonderful daughters ages 17 and 20. My youngest daughter is a junior at CHHS and is completing the Early Career Program at EC3. My oldest daughter is a graduate of CHHS and is a senior at WKU. We also have a sweet little dog named Poppy. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors.
