Your child will have the opportunity to use Stem Bins from 7:10-7:45 each morning. Stem Bins are simular to "traditional centers", but learning is more hands-on. Stem is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Stem was developed based on 21st Century Learning Standards. Careers are expected to increase in science, technology, engineering, and math fields. Stem Bins will help your child develop problem solving skills in a fun, engaging way.   

Some of the materials included are: legos, padlocks, blocks, tape, play dough, and other items. Your child will read a task card and complete the assignment. Eventually your child will be required to write about how he/she solved the problem.
