Hi! I am Angie Isaacs. I am beginning my 30th year of teaching. I have taught all of those years at G.C. Burkhead, but in several grades. I began my career teaching fifth grade. I have also taught fourth grade, first, and third. For the 2022-2023 school year, I will be working in the role of interventionist. In that role I will be working with students in grade K - 5. I am a graduate of Georgetown College where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. I also met my husband, Tim Isaacs there. We have been married 29 years and have two daughters: Rebecca and Hannah. Rebecca graduated from WKU and received her Master's Degree at UK. She is now working as the head of the children's department at the Hardin County Public Library. Hannah graduated from WKU and is teaching first grade at Creekside Elementary School.
I also have my Masters of Arts in Education from Western Kentucky University, My Rank I in Counseling from WKU, a Reading Writing Specialist Endorsement from the University of Louisville, and in 2006, I completed my National Boards Certification in Early Childhood Education. You could say I have a love for learning, and try to instill that into all of my students.
In my free time away from school, I enjoy reading. I like traveling with my family, and I also enjoying running and walking my dog. I am active in my church and love teaching Sunday School and VBS. I also coach the 4th and 5th Grade Volleyball Team at GCB.
