A Little About Me.....

One of my passions is teaching.  I have been teaching since graduation at UK in 1995 in some capacity.  I have taught in 2/3 classrooms, 4th grade, 6th grade, Resource, and worked as a Curriculum Specialist.  I also worked for the State Dept. as CEO Rank 2 Teacher consultant and as KDE’s Region 2 Writing Coordinator on the Writing Advisory Committee, in which I helped review and edit the KY Writing Guide we still use in KY schools today

I am so glad to be a part of the Creekside family as your Music Teacher!  We will be doing projects, playing instruments, singing, dancing, creating music, and performing!

A Little About the Year.....

Last year we began playing the RECORDER in Fourth Grade and the DULCIMER in Fifth Grade, nine weeks of recorder studies for 3rd graders, as well as learning to play the keyboard and xylophone for 2nd graders.  This year we will continue those activities and add to them!  We will also participate in Fourth District Treble Chorus again this year with 8 singers represnting our school.

This year we will adhere to the current design of performance programs.  Kindergarten students will be performing during their K Graduation ceremony, 1st and 2nd Grades will perform in the Spring Arts Expo, 3rd and 4th Grades will perform in the Winter Show, and 5th Grade will perform in the Veterans' Day Program.  Small ensembles may also be invited to be featured in the Spring Arts Expo as well.

We are looking forward to another great year!
