Kelsey Birdwhistell grew up on a dairy farm in Oldham County, Kentucky. After high school, she attended Asbury University and earned a bachelor of arts in English Literature with a minor in Latin. She earned her teaching certification at Indiana University Southeast, and she is currently pursuing a masters degree in Literacy Education from Western Kentucky University. She has enjoyed engaging with students in the classroom since 2011, and joined Hardin County Schools in the fall of 2014.
