Social Studies, World History is a graduation requirement. This class is an overview of World History, including Basic Geography; Early European History 1500-1900, European Revolutions; Imperialism and WWI, West Between the Wars and WWII, The Cold War, Africa and Latin America. The goal is to develop chronological understanding and recognize cause-and-effect relationships and multiple causation. World History is the combined study of How and Why people interact with each other and the environments they live in. This includes the connections between events in the past as well as their influence on the modern world. As honors students, the expectation is that students can analyze, interpret and communicate deeper about events within history.
