I am a 22 year veteran teacher with 18 years of service at John Hardin.  I cannot imagine teaching any where else for we are truly a "family."

My undergraduate degree in History is from the University of the Cumberlands.  I then completed a KY Department of Education program Continuing Education Option with an emphasis in Geography and Writing.  I have also earned my Rank 1 in American History from Ashland University.

Although, I can teach any of the offerings in the Social Studies Department, currently, I am teaching Dual Credit US History and US History.  I do enjoy World History, especially part B.  An elective that I enjoy the most is Global Issues.  This course looks at current events and correlate it to the past.  This is an excellent course to help students understand the world around them.

I have a passion for traveling and have been on many trips to Europe and Asia.  My fondest memories are from a month long study in China.  I have also developed an interest in running and have completed 15 half marathons and countless 10Ks and 5Ks.

Currently, I am co-sponsor of the Fit Club whch is designed to help girls make better life style choices through diet, exercise, and welllness.  Also, I am co-sponsor of the Student YMCA club.  We are active in community service and well as attending KYA and KUNA.

Lastly, I am a very proud mother to Madeline, a John Hardin alum, two dogs and two cats.
