Originally from Northern Kentucky, and after spending 10 years in North Carolina at Fort Bragg, my family and I have finally come "home" to the Bluegrass State. This school year will be my 2nd as a Bulldog and I'm proud to be a part of the JHHS "Family!"
After receiving my undergraduate degree in history, I knew that as much as I loved research and writing, I wanted to do MORE. Teaching gives me the perfect opportunity to help shape the future and share my passion for history with my students. For the 2020-2021 school year I will be teaching: AP World History: Modern, AP Psychology, Global Issues, Sociology, and World History B.
When I am not teaching, I am also a LDRS advisor and a co-sponsor of the Sophomore Class.
Outside of John Hardin, I spend most of my time raising 5 kids (baby Charlotte joined the family in April 2020) and drinking excessive quantities of coffee. On weekends and school holidays, it is not uncommon to find me dragging my children to various museums, historical sites, baseball games, hiking trails, or scout events.
