Hardin County Schools will still provide student meals for the upcoming spring break. However, the meals will be distributed on Friday, March 27, 2020.
Parents of students who would like breakfast and lunch for the week of March 30 – April 3 can obtain food for those meals when they pick up lunch on Friday, March 27. The same is true for those who receive meals via delivery from HCS staff and those who visit the HCS Cruisin’ Café.
Only lunches will be available on the Cruisin’ Café.
All meals for those who are 18 years of age and under are free.
HCS has also been distributing lunches to senior citizens and those with compromised immune systems during this COVID-19 pandemic. Next week’s lunches - for those who have requested them - will also be delivered (or picked up) on Friday, March 27.
NOTE - HCS cannot provide free meals to individuals over 18 years of age. So, to stay in compliance with federal guidelines, adult meals are purchased by those receiving them, by family/friends or through donation.
Hardin County Schools has been providing non-traditional instruction during the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to do this week. It will resume after spring break on Monday, April 6.
As of today, school will resume in its normal capacity on April 20, 2020. This could certainly change by order of the Governor.
