The Hardin County Board of Education voted unanimously this evening to appoint John Emary to the Board.
This is Mr. Emary’s second stint on the Board of Education. He was elected in 2008 and again in 2012. His previous two terms spanned from January 2009 until December 2016.
“I’m thrilled to have the confidence of the Hardin County Board of Education,” Emary said. “My previous experience on the Board will certainly help me. I’m familiar with the requirements of a Board member and have worked alongside some fantastic people in my other two terms. The same is true as I fill this unexpired term. All of the current Board members work hard to do what is right by students and they care deeply about upholding the strong tradition of student and staff success in this district.”
“We are excited to have John represent the citizens of Division I,” Board Chair Charlie Wise said. “John is truly a servant leader and will do an outstanding job. John is honest, forthright and will always make student-centered decisions. I’m honored to have previously worked with him and I look forward to working together during the next year.”
Mr. Emary fills the unexpired term of Andrea Palmer. She resigned from the Board on July 31 because of her family’s relocation out of state.
