I joined the Army in 1981 at 17 years old, serving my country for 20 years. I was a tanker and involved in the first Gulf War and in the Bosnia peacekeeping mission, and spent 10 years in Germany during the Cold War..
After my service in the military, I went to Western Kentucky University using my GI Bill to obtain my Bachelor's degree in History and Social Studies (Double Major).
I was blessed to gain a teaching position here at North Hardin in 2004.
I have been married to my second wife for 28 years, have 1 daughter from my first marriage, and have adopted one of my grandchildren (Kaylee) and have sole custody of another grandchild (Ethan). They occupy much of my life but I can't think of a better thing to do! I also have three other Grandchildren, Braden, Bristol, and Brett (we call them "BR Cubed").
I LOVE history and LOVE sharing with my students the fun and interesting parts of history so that they look forward to coming to my class.
