Hardin County Schools is seeking information from local businesses, organizations and individuals regarding scholarships for students.
The district is asking those who provide scholarships to send information to HCS Community Relations Specialist John Wright at john.wright@hardin.kyschools.us and to the guidance counselors at Central Hardin High School, John Hardin High School, North Hardin High School and the HCS Early College and Career Center. The contacts at each high school are listed here:
HCS will post scholarship information submitted to the district and its high schools HERE. By sending it to the district and the high schools, students have a better chance to see the application and information. High schools also post scholarship information on their websites.
“Sharing this information in a centralized location (the district website) is convenient for our students and their families,” HCS Superintendent Teresa Morgan said. “We want our families to know about all opportunities that make continued learning as affordable as possible.
“Our community is extremely generous and dedicated to helping our students succeed beyond their high school careers. We cannot adequately express how grateful we are to the many civic groups, individuals, faith-based organizations and businesses that supply scholarships. We want our seniors and their parents to check these websites often to ensure they know about these opportunities and take advantage of them.“
Currently, there are links to the Central Kentucky Community Foundation’s Scholarship Central, Abound Credit Union’s Roush Scholarships and others on the HCS Scholarship Information page. The district and school sites are updated often.
The school sites are linked to the district scholarship site.
