Principal's Message

It is truly an honor to serve as principal of North Hardin High School. My journey in education started in 1995, when I became a high school English teacher. I spent eight years in the classroom before assuming the role of Guidance Counselor from 2003-2014. More recently, I have served as Assistant Principal here at NHHS.

My time spent at North Hardin has certainly been incredible! I graduated from NHHS in 1991.  This is home for me.  I certainly hope you and your student will make North Hardin your home. My mission is to always put kids first! I believe all students can learn and it is our job to support all of their needs. As educators, we need to discover how each child learns in order to differentiate our instruction to support diverse learning styles.

My goal is always to invest time in including the North Hardin school community – students, parents, families, teachers, staff and community members. We have an impressive staff at NHHS -- a staff that will work together with every student’s best interest at heart.

We encourage parents to stay involved. This can be accomplished by staying in contact with your child’s teachers. Our expectations will be to consistently make sure you are aware of your child’s progress and answer any questions or concerns you have at any time. This form of two-way monitoring will help ensure the success of your child’s education and well-being.

North Hardin is continuing its Tradition of Excellence.  We earned the titles of "Distinguished School" from the Kentucky Department of Education "Bronze School" by U.S. News & World Report,

Again, I am thrilled to serve the students and families at North Hardin High School.  We hope you will be a part of a wonderful year at NHHS!

With Trojan Pride,

Tanya Corder
