North Hardin High School has been in existence since 1962 when Rineyville High School and Vine Grove HIgh School consolidated. The enrollment that year was 572, Since that time, the building has been expanded three times and numerous improvements have been made to the athletic complexes and to the ever-expanding curriculum. North Hardin has two gymansiums, a renovated library media center, as well as modern facilities for football, baseball, soccer, tennis, track and softball.

  • North Hardin is the home for Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) and Principles of Engineering (POE), the engineering pathway's introductory classes. Students then take the remaining pathway classes at EC3. Hardin County Schools VEX robotics teams are well-known all over the world. This year, North Hardin PLTW has partnered with JROTC and Ft. Knox Cadet Command in VEX robotics.
