Hi! I am Angie Isaacs. I am beginning my 29th year of teaching. I have taught all of those years at G.C. Burkhead, but in several grades. I began my career teaching fifth grade. I have also taught fourth grade, first, and I am currently teaching third. I am a graduate of Georgetown College where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. I also met my husband, Tim Isaacs there. We have been married 28 years and have two daughters: Rebecca and Hannah. Rebecca graduated from WKU and is currently working on her Master's Degree at UK, and Hannah just graduated from WKU and will begin her teaching career this year.
I also have my Masters of Arts in Education from Western Kentucky University, My Rank I in Counseling from WKU, a Reading Writing Specialist Endorsement from the University of Louisville, and in 2006, I completed my National Boards Certification in Early Childhood Education. You could say I have a love for learning, and try to instill that into all of my students.
In my free time away from school, I enjoy reading. I like traveling with my family, and I also enjoying running and walking my dog. I am active in my church and love teaching Sunday School and VBS. I also coach the 4th and 5th Grade Volleyball Team at GCB.
