MEET THE TEACHER!
Hi! My name is Ginger Goodwine and I am going to be your first grade teacher! This will be my 27th year in the classroom. I began my career as a kindergarten teacher for 10 years and graduated up to first grade. I love teaching first grade and watching students as they grow and learn throughout the year.
I have a master's degree in elementary education and a Rank 1 in counseling. I love working with the students in both a whole group but especially in a small group setting. Ms Sowell, my assistant works with me in math and during our reading time. This allows us to play math and reading games that help you learn phonics and math skills in a fun way. I love teaching these two subject areas helping you become a better reader and awesome mathematician!
I grew up in Larue County where I taught kindergarten for 9 years at Buffalo Elementary. I moved to Hardin County where I taught kindergarten at New Highland before transferring to GC Burkhead. I currently live in Elizabethtown with my husband Todd. I have two stepchildren Kirby and Cassie. Kirby has completed his education in family dentistry and specializing in pediatric dentistry at UL. Cassie resides in Phoenix where she works and enjoys much nicer temps during our winter months. When we are all together we love to take trips, hang out, watch movies, and cheer on the WILDCATS!!
