Layers of the Earth

Mrs. Link's fourth grade Science has recently been discussing the layers of the earth.  After watching a PowerPoint about the earth's layers, the students had to create a model using different types of food.  The students used graham crackers to create the earth's crust and three different colors of jell-o to represent the mantle, outer core, and inner core. This model allowed students to understand the layers and how these layers make up the earth.
