Author Visits Vine Grove Elementary

    On Wednesday, April 14, 2010, Vine Grove native Martha Leonard Fontenot visited Vine Grove Elementary and shared her book Grandma Liza's Rainbow Cake with students in grades Kindergarten to two.  Not only did Mrs. Fontenot read her book to the students, she also shared stories about Vine Grove when her grandmother was alive.  She had photographs of the town from many decades ago.  The students enjoyed her visit.

    After her visit, a reception was held in her honor in the school media center.  Several members of the community came to visit their friend.  A good time was had by all!
