Upton Days 1999
Our special friends, the Alabama and Georgia Upton Family members, whom we met through our Community History web site on the Internet, returned to Upton for another visit. They have adopted the school their ancestor donated land for, and brought gifts of pencils and crayons for all the students. They also got to meet the two students who were chosen to receive their Upton Pioneer Spirit Awards for 1999.
The Upton Family was recognized with a William H. Natcher Award Honorable Mention certificate by the Kentucky Library Association for their significant contributions to Kentucky libraries.
The Upton Family visits Upton Library
