HPI Service Learning Project

After learning
about the abundance of food products & by-products processed in Kentucky
with which we are blessed, we decided to participate in a service learning
project to help less fortunate children & families around the globe. We chose Heifer Project International's Kids
2 Kids Campaign, after receiving a letter from
HPI President and CEO, Jo Luck.
For $120,
HPI can provide a high quality goat and training in its care to a hungry family
around the globe. Each gift means
nutritious milk every day not only for the children, but entire families—as
well as extra income for medicine, clothing, school expenses and improved
shelter.

Make a Difference Day
Kids2Kids Campaign
The STLP Team
raised $221.34 by selling the Favorite Web Site booklets we helped author,
& accepting donations for HPI’s Kids 2 Kids Campaign at Rider’s Grocery on
Make a Difference Day, Saturday, Oct. 27.
This money helped purchase 2 goats for hungry families across the
world. When the goats have babies, the
families will pass one on to another family, as will they, helping more and
more neighbors in the community.
