Governor’s Volunteerism Award

STLP Teams & Gov. Patton	Volunteer Service Award

Upton & Western STLP team members and parents, and Mrs. Stith,

their sponsor, were invited to Frankfort Dec. 6 to attend the 2001 Governor’s

Awards for Outstanding Volunteer Service. Governor Patton presented a

representative from each school with a beautiful crystal Kentucky shaped award

for Upton & Western’s participation in Heifer Project International’s Rwandan

Project, sending five pregnant heifers to hungry families in Rwanda, Africa.
