Won't you join us? This site inspired us to battle
world hunger thru Heifer Project International!
STLP Students receive Volunteerism Award for
Heifer Project from Gov. Patton
At The Hunger Site we learned that every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger.
75% are children. We
decided to battle world hunger through the Heifer
Project International organization. Upton & Western students published &
are selling a booklet, Web Site Treasures, a collection of Internet
sites matching their favorite books. With the help of neighboring school
friends, teachers across the state, HCS librarians, parents, grandparents,
& an HPI 3-1 Matching Funds Grant,
we've been able, so far, to send 5 heifers to needy families in
Rwanda, Africa. Please join us in this on-going undertaking? Click on Our Heifer Project link above for
