Mrs. Seymour's Animal Covering Research

Mrs. Seymour's class looked in Zoo Books, Ranger Rick and World magazines to find what  types of coverings animals have. They constructed a database to classify animals by those with fur, feathers, skin, shells, and scales.

The animals we found with feathers have two legs and beaks.

The animals with fur have four legs and tails.

Only one of the animals with scales has legs or tentacles.

Three of the animals with skin live in the ocean.

All of the animals with shells live in the water.
