Hepatitis A Vaccine

Important

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION REGARDING THE HEPATITIS A VACCINE:

While the new requirement for Hepatitis A vaccine is a two-dose shot which is required to be spaced 6 months apart between the two doses, your child will be allowed to begin school even if there has not been time enough to receive both doses.  Please bring in your child's updated Immunization Certificate which shows that the first dose of Hep A has been given.  This certificate will expire 6 months (+2 weeks) after first dose is given so the expectation is that the second dose will be administered then. A final Immunization Certificate will be given at the administration of the second dose which should then be submitted to your child's school.
