Who is Mrs. Martin?

Hello. Welcome to Woodland Elementary School, and welcome to my first grade class! I am excited for a great year!

I am a native to Hardin County. I graduated from North Hardin High School, and then attended ECTC and WKU- Elizabethtown Campus. I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education in 2011. I taught for 2 years in Murray, Kentucky, before returning home to teach at Woodland. In 2016 I graduated from University of the Cumberlands with my Masters of Arts in Education - Literacy Specialist.

I married my high school sweetheart in 2011, and we have two children: a son, Connor, who was born in 2013 and a daughter, Emmalee, who was born in 2017.

Mrs. Martin's Mission Statement:

While in Room 118, I will teach each student to the best of my ability, in a loving and friendly environment. I will have open arms and listening ears. I vow to never stop learning myself, so that I can always help my students reach their highest potential.

My hope is that Room 118 is a second home to my students.
