Hello! My name is Monica Bybee and I teach preschool at Heartland Elementary. I have been working in the field of early childhood since 1995 when I began working as a developmental interventionist with the First Steps program in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Since then I have worked with children birth to five (with First Steps and preschool) and have loved working with children and families! I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1994 with a Bachelors in Speech and Communication Disorders and in 1996 with a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. I have two wonderful assistants who come with so much experience! Mrs. Trina and Mrs. Karen are an asset to our classroom and the three of us work very hard to help your child succeed! My husband and I have been married for 23 years and have two boys (Will is 19 and Braden is 16). When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and traveling. I am looking forward to an awesome school year with your child and cannot wait to get to know my students and families better. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact me at:
I will not be able to email you back during school hours, but at the end of the day I can either email you back or return your call (you can leave a message for me with the office to return your call). The number to our school office is: 270-769-8930.
Thank you for allowing me to work with your child! Also, if you would like to volunteer in our classroom, let me know!
