So, you want to know about me, your teacher. Well then, let’s start at the beginning. I was born at Fort Knox, Kentucky in 1965. When I was a baby, my family and I moved to Michigan. I loved living there! My favorite time of year was winter! On Saturday’s my dad would take me and my brother sledding and ice skating. Afterward we would always make creamy hot chocolate. I enjoyed springtime at my grandmother’s farm too! There was always something to do at the farm.  I would watch for all the baby kittens to come our of the barn, but I was never fast enough to catch one! My grandmother and I would spend the afternoon picking raspberries and making pies and jam. Yum! Sometimes we would take a picnic and fish the afternoon away at the pond.

I now live in Cecilia with my husband Mike and our two dogs Lexie and Hailey and our cat and Beau. We have three grown children. Christopher,  Elizabeth and Matthew. Everyone in our family enjoys music very much! There is always a radio, IPod or a concert on TV playing. My husband Mike plays drums so it is quite noisy at our house! We also do a lot of reading. I really like adventure stories and mysteries. When I am not reading and listening to music, I am working in my gardens. Some people think gardening is hard work, but I think cleaning house is a worse chore!

Many students ask me why I became a teacher. The answer is simple: I love to help people learn about new things! Going to college was very hard work, but it was all worth it! This is my 17th year teaching and I never stop learning new things from my students! I love teaching so much that when I retire I will probably volunteer at a school!
