Hi! I am Angie Isaacs. I am beginning my 26th year of teaching. I have taught all of those years at G.C. Burkhead, but in several grades. I began my career teaching fifth grade. I have also taught fourth grade, first, and I am currently teaching third. I am a graduate of Georgetown College where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. I also met my husband, Tim Isaacs there. We have been married 25 years and have two daughters: Rebecca and Hannah. Rebecca graduated from WKU in May and will be going to Grad School, and Hannah attends ECTC majoring in Elementary Education.
I also have my Masters of Arts in Education from Western Kentucky University, a Reading Writing Specialist Endorsement from the University of Louisville, and in 2006, I completed my National Boards Certification in Early Childhood Education. You could say I have a love for learning, and try to instill that into all of my students.
In my free time away from school, I enjoy reading. I like traveling with my family, and I also enjoying running and walking my dog. I am active in my church and love teaching Sunday School and VBS. I also coach the JV Volleyball team at Central Hardin High School.
