I am excited to be fulfilling my career goals as a middle school educator in the very same school district that prepared me for college and the workforce. I came to Hardin County in 1986, when I was only seven years old, and graduated from Central Hardin High School in 1996. I left Hardin County from 2002-2006 while I served in the United States Marine Corps. After fulfilling my contract in the Marines, I decided not to re-enlist and instead pursue my dream of becoming a science teacher. I moved back to Hardin County with my wife and enrolled at Western Kentucky University, where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Middle Grades Education with certification areas of Science and Language Arts. In 2009, my wife and I were blessed with the birth of our son and I have been enjoying the challenges and rewards of fatherhood since then. I was fortunate during my final semester of college to be assigned to East Hardin Middle School for my student teaching experience under the supervision of an excellent cooperating teacher. During my student teaching appointment, I felt that the administration and staff were very supportive and shared my passion for education and learning. I now reside in Elizabethtown with my wife and son and am enjoying my career as an educator at East Hardin Middle School. I have very high expectations for my students and look forward to a wonderful school year.
