I joined the Army in 1981 at 17 years old, serving my country for 20 years. I was a tanker and involved in the first Gulf War and in the Bosnia peacekeeping mission.
After my service in the military, I went to Western Kentucky University using my GI Bill to obtain my Bachelor's degree in History and Social Studies (Double Major).
I was blessed to gain a teaching position here at North Hardin in 2004.
I have been married to my second wife for 25 years, have 1 daughter from my first marriage, and have adopted one of my grandchildren (Kaylee) and have sole custody of another grandchild (Ethan). They occupy much of my life (I coach their Flames soccer teams), but I can't think of a better thing to do!
I LOVE history and LOVE sharing with my students the fun and interesting parts of history so that they look forward to coming to my class.
