SENIOR HONORS NIGHT

Seniors who have received scholarships and would like to be recognized at Senior Honors Night On May 24th need to download and complete the form with their scholarships and return it to Mr. Adams by May 16. The form can be downloaded at Honors Night or you can pick up a form in the guidance office. 

 

 REMIND Link: 

For scholarship information, students and/or parents can sign up for Remind text messages from Mr. Adams as scholarships become available. Just text the message @srcollege to 81010 to sign up.

 

Recommendation Letters

For letters of recommendation, you will need to fill out a Senior Fact Sheet or get an Academic Resume to Mr. Adams. You will need to get these in at least 2 weeks before the letter is needed.

3. New information on applications and scholarships for the University of Louisville can be found at this link for students entering in the fall of 2018.

5. The Kentucky Federation of Republican Women offer a $1500 scholarship to a college-bound high school senior girl who has been politically active in the Republican Party.  Applications must be postmarked by April 2, 2018, and can be picked up in the counseling office or downloaded at this link

6. Applications are now available online for the 2018 Ronald Reagan Foundation Scholarship program.  Scholarships are worth $10,000 per year, and may be renewed for up to 4 years ($40,000 total). Applications can be made at this link. .

9. Applications are now available for the 2018 Woman's Club of Elizabethtown $1000 scholarship for a student who plans to attend ECTC next fall. Applications can be found at Woman's Club Scholarship, and applications are due by April 1, 2018. 

11. The Jackie Robinson Foundation offers scholarships to qualified minority students for up to $30,000 for a four year period.  Applications are due by February 1, 2018, and applications are done online at Jackie Robinson Foundation

12. The Fort Knox Spouse and Community Club is offering several scholarships to students of active duty parents or retired military parents who live in this area.  Applications are due by February 7, 2018, and can be downloaded and filled out at FKSCC Scholarships

13. The Dixie Firefighters Association is sponsoring the Louis Crosier Memorial Scholarship worth $1000 to a graduating high school senior in the class of 2018.  The application can be found at Dixie Firefighters Scholarship and is due by February 17, 2018. 

14. The Central Kentucky Community Foundation has opened its Scholarship Central website for all of the scholarships it offers this year. Applications are done through the Scholarship Central website and must be completed online by midnight on March 1, 2018. Over $100,000 in total scholarships will be awarded through CKCF this spring to graduating seniors. 

15. The Fort Knox Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is again offering scholarships to graduating seniors who meet the criteria of the scholarship program. They are offering one $2500 scholarship and 6 $1500 scholarships this year. Applications can be downloaded at Fort Knox MOAA Scholarships and must be postmarked by March 30, 2018 to be eligible for selection. 

16. Kentucky Farm Bureau offers several different scholarships with their scholarship program.  Applicants must have parents who are Farm Bureau members.  Full information can be found on the application at Kentucky Farm Bureau Scholarships and are due by February 28, 2018. 

17. The Hardin County Conservation District is offering a $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to major in the fields of Agriculture or Conservation of Natural Resources.  The application can be found at Hardin County Conservation District Scholarship and is due by February 2, 2018.

18. Nolin RECC is offering the 2018 Bob Wade Scholarship, worth $2500 to a graduating senior whose parents are members of Nolin RECC. The application can be found at Bob Wade Scholarship and is due by April 1, 2018.

19. Nolin RECC is offering 6 2018 Nolin RECC Scholarships, worth $1500 each, to graduating seniors whose parents are Nolin RECC members. The application can be found at Nolin RECC Scholarship and is due by April 1, 2018.

20. The Daniel and Dely Bauer Family Memorial Scholarship is being offered to a CHHS graduate who plans to pursue a degree at the University of Louisville. Applications can be found at Bauer Family Scholarship and is due by March 2, 2018. 

21. The Nu Beta Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta sorority is offering the 2018 Betty Hamilton Scholarship for $500 to a 2018 female graduate who plans to attend a four-year college or university. The application can be found at Betty Hamilton Scholarship and needs to be returned by email to nbzscholarship@gmail.com by February 20, 2018. You can also find the application at Nu Beta Zeta

22. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is again offering two scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors in Kentucky this year. Both scholarship applications are due by February 1, 2018. 

Civil Engineering Scholarship Program

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awards 10-20 new scholarships each year to qualifying students interested in attending the University of Kentucky (UK) or Western Kentucky University (WKU) or University of Louisville (UL) J. B. Speed School of Engineering to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE).   Students may also attend pre-engineering courses at Kentucky State University (KSU), through the Kentucky Community and Technical College (KCTCS) system, or other Kentucky state colleges or universities, and then complete their Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) at one of the accredited institutions. The scholarship can be worth over $51,000!

Civil Engineering Technology Scholarship Program

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awards 5-10 new scholarships each year to qualifying students interested in attending Bluegrass Community & Technical College in Lexington, Kentucky,  or Big Sandy Community & Technical College in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to complete an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology.  The scholarship deadline is February 1, and the recipients will be notified in April.   Each scholarship student will receive $3,000 per semester.

23. The Addison Jo Blair foundation offers The Addison Jo Blair Memorial Scholarship for students who have demonstrated integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity in their lives. The scholarship is worth $1000 and the application can be downloaded at Addison Blair Scholarship and applications are due by April 20, 2018.

24. The Hiram Abiff Scholarship is worth $500, and is offered to a 2018 CHHS graduate who completes the application and required essay for the scholarship. A copy of the application can be downloaded at Hiram Abiff Scholarship and it is due by May 1, 2018.

25. The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the University of Louisville offers its Balanced Man Scholarship to an incoming male freshman at the University of Louisville. Applying or accepting the scholarship does not obligate you to join the fraternity. The scholarship is worth $1000, and the online application can be found at Balanced Man Scholarship. Applications are due by July 1, 2018. 

26. The Cecilian Bank offers 17 scholarships worth $1000 each to students in their service area, open to all 2018 graduates. You can download the application at Cecilian Bank Scholarship. Applications are due by March 23, 2018.

27. The Central Hardin FFA Alumni Association is offering scholarships to graduating members of the CHHS FFA. Applications can be found at FFA Alumni Scholarship. Applications must be postmarked by  April 20, 2018. 

28. The Kentucky Cattlemen's Association offers 5 scholarships worth $1500 to graduating seniors who meet the scholarship criteria. Applications can be found at Kentucky Cattlemen's Association Scholarship, and are due by March 31, 2018. 

29. The Fort Knox Buffalo Soldier Motorcycle Club offers $1000 scholarships to eligible 2018 graduates in the Fort Knox area. Application and information can be downloaded from Buffalo Soldier Motorcycle Club Scholarship and must be postmarked by March 30, 2018. 

30. The American Legion Post 113 offers a $1000 scholarship to each high school in Hardin County. Applications can be found at American Legion Scholarship, and are to be returned to the American Legion by April 17, 2018. 

31. The American Legion Auxiliary Hardin Unit 113 offers a $750 scholarship to a graduating senior. Applications can be found at American Legion Auxiliary Hardin 113 Scholarship and must be postmarked by April 4, 2018. 

32. The American Legion Auxiliary offers a national scholarship worth $5000 to graduating seniors. 15 will be awarded this year. Applications are available at Children of Warriors Scholarship, and must be postmarked by March 1, 2018.

33. The Kentucky Manufactured Housing Institute offers seven $1000 scholarships to applicants who currently live in a modular or manufactured home. Applications are available at KMHI Scholarship, and must be postmarked by April 1, 2018.

34. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority offers a $500 scholarship to a female graduating in the Hardin, Meade, Nelson and Fort Knox areas. One scholarship will be awarded this year. Applications can be found at Alpha Kappa Alpha Scholarship, and are due by May 1, 2018.

35. Women With A Purpose (WWAP) is offering two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors in the class of 2018. Applications can be found at Women With a Purpose, and are due by May 1, 2018.

36. Bluegrass Cellular is offering several scholarships to students whose parents are customers of Bluegrass Cellular. Applications can be found at Bluegrass Cellular Scholarships and are due by April 2, 2018.

37. The Elizabethtown Lions Club offers a $1500 scholarship to a Central Hardin student in the class of 2018. Applications can be found at Elizabethtown Lions Club Scholarship, and must be received by April 30, 2018. 

38. The Hardin County Democratic Women's Club offers a $500 scholarship to a senior from either Central Hardin or Elizabethtown High School. Scholarship requirements and the application can be downloaded at Democratic Women's Club, and must be submitted by mail by April 13, 2018. 

39. The Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society offers several $1000 and $1500 scholarships to graduating High School seniors in Kentucky each year. Applications can be done from their homepage at biacs.org and more information on the scholarships is available at BIACS Scholarship. Applications are due by March 18, 2018. 

40. The Hardin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary offers a $1000 scholarship to an applicant within its service area. Applications can be found at Hardin Memorial Hospital Scholarship, and are due by April 1, 2018. 

41. The Kentucky 86 Fire and Rescue Department is offering the $500 Rouseau Goodman Memorial Scholarship to an applicant in the Kentucky 86 service area. Applications are available at KY 86 Scholarship, or in the counseling office, and are due by April 15, 2018.

42. The Hardin County Bar Association offers a $2000 scholarship to a 2018 graduate from a school in Hardin County. Applications need to be returned to Mr Adams by March 26, 2018. Applications can be found at Hardin County Bar Association Scholarship, or in the counseling office. 

43. The Lincoln Trail Area Master Gardener scholarship is offered each year to a graduating senior in the service area. Applications can be downloaded from Lincoln Trail Master Gardener. Applications are due by April 13, 2018.

44. The Kentucky Department of Pupil Personnel offers a $500 scholarship to a qualifying student.  Applications can be downloaded at KDPP Scholarship. Applications are due to the counseling office by April 19, 2018.

45. Hardin County Farm Bureau offers several scholarships to qualifying applicants. All of the following are $1000 scholarships, and applications are due by April 18, 2018.

46. Hardin County Water District #2 offers a $1000 scholarship to its service members through the Langley Family Foundation. The application is available at Hardin County Water District #2 Scholarship, and applications are due by May 31, 2018.

47. The Hardin County Cattlemen's Association offers 2 scholarships worth $1000 each to graduating seniors. Information on the scholarships and eligibility can be downloaded below. Applications are due by April 30, 2018.

48. The Fort Knox Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority offers three scholarships to graduating seniors in the area. All of these scholarships are due by April 16, 2018. 

Historically Black College or University Scholarship is open to graduating males or females attending one of these schools in the fall. 

The Delta Sigma Theta Community Scholarship is open to any graduating seniors in the area. 

The Blondell Williams Scholarship is offered to graduating African American female seniors in the area. 

49. The St. James School PTO offers a $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior who also graduated from St James. Applications can be downloaded at St James Scholarship, and are due to the school by April 16, 2018. 

50. Hardin County AM Rotary Club offers a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior each year. The application can be found at AM Rotary Scholarship, and are due by May 1, 2018. 

51. The Theresa Allen Memorial Scholarhsip is offered to a graduating senior who has lost a parent. The application can be found at Theresa Allen Scholarship. Applications are due by May 18, 2018.

52. The Bruin Faculty Scholarship is open to any current CHHS Senior. Applications can be found in the counseling office or at Bruin Faculty Scholarship. Applications are due by May 14, 2018. Three $750 scholarships will be awarded.
