History of Our School

North Middle School opened its doors in January of 2010. The state-of-the-art facility was built to replace the previous Radcliff Middle School. The previous facility had become insufficient to hold class in with the expected student influx from BRAC (Base Reallignment and Closing) at Fort Knox and is scheduled to be completely renovated and converted into an elementary school to again accomodate more students. North Middle School was built to house more students/teachers than Radcliff Middle. The previous RMS building is expected to reopen as Radcliff Elementary in the fall of 2010 partially renovated with further phases of renovations to follow as the school grows.

Our Mission

It is the mission of North Middle School to empower students with the knowledge and skills to make good life choices and to ignite appreciation and motivation for lifelong learning as the key to success.

Our Mascot & School Colors

The Spartan mascot and school colors of blue and white are a few of the remaining aspects of Radcliff Middle School.

Spartans were the great warriors from the Ancient Greek city-state of Sparta. While in Greek Mythology, the Spartans fought the Trojans from Troy in the Trojan War, that is only partially the case at North Middle School. One of our rival schools, James T. Alton Middle School has a Trojan as their mascot, but our primary feeding high school, North Hardin, has a Trojan as its mascot. Needless to say, we are proud of the accomplishments of both the Spartans and Trojans!

Colors: Blue & White
