A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL As the principal of our school, I have two goals. First, I want this to be a
great place for our students to come to learn. Secondly, I want this to be
a great place for our teachers to come to teach. Our faculty and our student
body share equally in the responsibility of attaining these two goals.

Speaking Engagements: "When
I initially came to Hardin County in 1986 to interview for science jobs
there were openings at every school in the area. I was most impressed with
the size and diversity of the student population at North Hardin. I was also
impressed with the Traditions that existed, especially in Track (which I
ended up coaching for 13 years...Continuing the "Tradition of Excellence").
I have been at North Hardin for 21 years in several capacities (Teacher,
Coach, AD, Assistant Principal and Principal), it is now part of my life.
The students and staff are like my extended family in many cases."
I am extremely excited to return home to my alma mater as the Freshman Assistant Principal. After graduating from NHHS in 1993, I received my undergraduate degree in Education from Eastern Kentucky University. I have spent the past 11 years as a math teacher and department chair at James T. Alton Middle School in Vine Grove. I received my Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Western Kentucky University in 2006 and jumped at the opportunity to return to North as part of the administrative team this year. I have been married to my wife, Julie for 9 years and we have a son named Reece who turned three in June. I have often told people that I wouldn't trade my high school years at North for anything or any school. It was here that I learned not only the subject matter of my classes, but also how to interact and get along with all types of people. The diversity of the student body is our greatest treasure and one that most schools simply cannot provide. I look forward to continuing the tradition at NHHS in the classrooms and on the athletic fields. I am proud to again be part of the best high school around. Go Trojans!
I am excited to be a part of North Hardin High School's Administration Team. As an instructional leader, my goal is to motivate, inspire, and model life long learning. I believe that when given a nurturing, safe, and secure learning environment, all students can be successful! As part of modeling life-long learning, I am constantly seeking and learning new techniques in education. I received a B.A. degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University, a post-graduate teaching certification and Rank II from Northwestern State University, and a Masters in Educational Administration and Rank I from Western Kentucky University. My husband James and I have three children: Johnne' who is a 2009 graduate of North Hardin, James III who will graduate from North Hardin in 2013, and Jaylon who attends JT Alton Middle School. Before joining the Hardin County School District, I spent seven of my years as an educator with the Department of Defense Schools, overseas and on Fort Knox. I have a passion to work with students of all ages and am excited to play a part in continuing North Hardin's tradition of excellence.
I am a true blue Trojan, and I love North Hardin! The diversity at this school allows for an experience that cannot be duplicated anywhere, and our faculty and staff work diligently to meet the needs of all of our students. We have the sincere desire to have each student reach his potential, and because of that, I am truly honored to be a part of such a great learning community. Hardin County is my home. I graduated from East Hardin High School in 1989 and graduated with my Bachelors from Western Kentucky University in 1994. I was originally hired in '95 as an English teacher and truly enjoyed my time in the classroom teaching sophomore and senior English. During my tenure as a teacher, I completed my Masters in Secondary Counseling and my Rank I in Administration, both from WKU. Soon thereafter, I had the opportunity to act as the CIA for NHHS and complete my Gifted and Talented Endorsement. Now, I am an assistant principal, working with juniors and seniors. I choose to remain a Trojan because of the great things going on here. North Hardin is an awesome school, made up of even better people, and our motto continues to ring true. We are a "Tradition of Excellence!"
I am a 1989 graduate of NHHS. I loved my High School years at North and feel the academic challenges, as well as the diversity and environment of our school, prepared me for the real world. After graduation I joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served for five years. I then worked in the administrative field in Dallas, Texas until I moved back to Kentucky in 1999 to be a stay at home mom. Once my children reached school age, I accepted the adventure of driving a school bus for Hardin County Schools for six years and then accepted my current position as the School Administrative Manager and I am thrilled to be able to give back to my high school, as well as my community. I take pride in the little details and doing whatever I can to help the teachers and students be successful in all they do. My husband Jon and I have three children. Lauren is a student here at North, Regan attends James T. Alton Middle School and Cameron attends Woodland Elementary. My children have known since starting school in Hardin County they would be a part of North Hardin's "Tradition of Excellence!" |
