Welcome to North Hardin High SchoolAs the principal of our school, I have two goals. First, I want this to be a great place for our students to come to learn. Secondly, I want this to be a great place for our teachers to come to teach. Our faculty and our student body share equally in the responsibility of attaining these two goals.I have asked my teachers to focus on three things this year. First, I want our teachers to ask questions and design assignments that require our students to use higher order thinking skills (Increase Rigor). Second, I want them to explain the relevance of the content our students will be covering in class (Relevance). Thirdly, I want our teachers to develop relationships with their students. I want every student to have at least one adult they would feel comfortable going to if they needed help. I ask our students to abide by the four
“Trojan Traits”. 1) Be where you are supposed to be; 2) Be there on time; 3)
Put forth your best effort; and 4) Be respectful to yourself and others.
Abiding by these traits will contribute greatly to their success at North
Hardin. Louis Pasteur was quoted as saying, “ Chance favors the prepared
mind”. Every student and teacher should be working together to prepare our
graduates for the opportunities that lie ahead of them in life. |
