Why can't I find the site I am looking for?
If you can't find the site you are looking for, chances are it has been removed or moved to a new location.  We strive to keep everything in the same locations on our server, but in some cases we have no option but to move the site.  If the site has been moved try looking through the menu on the home page and the site map to look for the site you are looking for.  If you still can not find the site you are looking for try searching our site.  When searching remember to start specific.  Instead of searching for 'history' try searching for 'About North Hardin'.   If you use general search terms you will receive generalized results, the more specific your search terms the more specific your results will be.  If you still can not find it try searching will more generalized terms, but remember that you may have pages of search results to look for.  Another possibility is that the name of the page has changed.  When searching try searching for a phrase that was on the page the last time you viewed it instead of the name of the page.  This should give you better results

Why is everything scattered around my screen?
North Hardin's website uses some of the latest in internet technologies including Inline Frames, JAVA, Flash, RSS, and CSS.  CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets, is the technology we use to position and line-up items on your screen.  Not only does CSS control the positioning of items, but their color and size.  By utilizing CSS we are able to change the layout, background color, text size, text color, etc on all of North Hardin's websites by simply making one change within the CSS file.  If you are using an older computer, with an older internet browser the problem is likely with your local machine.  We recommend upgrading to the latest browser as most if not all modern browsers (Internet Explorer 7.0) support all of these new technologies, including CSS.  If you do not wish to upgrade your browser, you can use our mobile site which can be found by clicking here.

Why does the pop out menu not work on my computer?
There are several factors that could contribute to the menus not working.
1.) The security settings in your browser may be set too high and are prohibiting the site from displaying the content. Try fixing these settings.
2.) You may not have JAVA installed or enabled on your computer.  Try enabling JAVA or installing it.
3.) You are not using a new enough browser for the content to be displayed.  Try upgrading to a new version such as Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0
If none of these fix your problem and you are able to view the categories you can click them.  This will direct you to a page with links categorized just as they are in the menus.  If you can not see the menu at all scroll to the bottom of the home page and click SITE MAP.

Why does the webpage take a long time to load?
This can also be caused by many factors.
1.) You are using a dial-up modem for your internet connection.  Dial-up has a much slower speed than High Speed (DSL/CABLE) Internet.  This will cause content to take longer to download
2.)  Your browser does not support many of the latest features.  North Hardin High School's websites use some of the latest technologies including Inline Frames, JAVA, Flash, RSS, and CSS.  If your browser does not support these features it will take much longer for the page to load because your browser must decipher the webpage and convert it into forms which it can display.

When I click a link it does not open.  What is wrong?
If you click a link and it doesn't open chances are the link is broken.  Please report broken links by sending an email to northhardin@Hardin.kyschools.us please put "broken link" in the subject line.  In the message put where you found the link and the name of the link.  We will fix the problem ASAP.  The second option is that you actually did not click the link or clicked it twice.  If you click a link twice it can often stop the page from loading, making some people think that the link is broken.  If a link is broken you will get the classic HTTP 404 Not Found Screen.
