Book Selection Tips

Check out books on your reading level if you are selecting a Reading Counts book. This is determined by your lexile range. If you need help, ask your teacher what your lexile range is. This range will be available after taking your MAP Reading test. |

The Fist Rule: If you’re not sure about a book being on your reading level, turn to a page with no pictures and begin reading. For each word you miss, put down one finger on one hand. At the end of the page, if you have more than five fingers down, the book is too hard for you. Choose another book and try again! |
