Easy Origami Crane
1. Place origami paper color side down on a hard surface. Fold origami in half from top point to bottom point, like a taco. Crease well. crane1.gif (4128 bytes)
2. Fold the left edge of the triangle up, so that it meets the top edge of the triangle. Crease.

3. Fold just the top two layers down so that they almost meet the left edge. crane3.gif (2359 bytes)
4. To make the crane's neck, take the left point of the triangle and fold it at an angle towards the right. Crease well. The origami will create a "V" shape. crane4.gif (3070 bytes)
5. To create the head, take the point of the neck you created in Step 4 and fold it at an angle back and towards the left. Crease. crane5.gif (2975 bytes)
6. Your finished crane should look like this. On Oshogatsu, make a lucky tsuru (crane) for everyone in your family. crane6.gif (2470 bytes)
