Reading Information

East Hardin Middle School does not use the Accelerated Reader Program. The teachers at East Hardin have been trained to use Literacy First. The books in the library media center are marked with colored dots if a lexile number is available. Students get their individual lexile number when they complete the MAP assessment in the fall from their language arts or reading teacher.
