YEAR OVERVIEW!

 In music this year, we will study the elements of music or structures of music:  rhythm, melody, form, dynamics, tempo, timbre, harmony, and style.  We will also study many different cultures.  These cultures will include

•      Native American music and dance

•     African music and dance  

•     Music from the Appalachia region

In February, we will have a folk music unit, where we will focus on music, instruments, and dance our own state- KY (bluegrass music).  We will also study music of Colonial American and how it has influenced our music of today!
