CHHS Evening High School Notice of Required Attendance
Dear Parents and Students:
Evening High School is funded by the Hardin County Schools’ Extended School Services for the purpose of allowing students to make up a failed credit in order to graduate on time. Seniors have first priority to participate in this service. There are many students who wish to take advantage of this opportunity.
The length of time needed to complete the course work depends solely on the motivation and self-pacing of each student. Those who work hard can complete the course with a passing grade in a few weeks. It requires determination, self-discipline, and regular attendance on the part of the student.
This service is free of charge to students currently enrolled in any of the Hardin County high schools. Due to the high demand for these classes, any student who is absent four (4) unexcused times will be dropped from the program. This attendance policy includes students who do not attend for the full 2 ˝ hours each night; four incomplete attendance days (tardies) will also result in that student being dropped from the program. Dropped students may reapply, but will be placed at the bottom of the waiting list.
Excused absences from the regular school day are also
excused from evening school. Students who attend during the regular school are
expected to attend evening school.
Students may not leave early unless the parent signs them out.
Evening High School does NOT meet when school is not in session or on snow days.
To enroll, contact you grade level counselor.
