I am thrilled to be here at Central Hardin during my 19th
year in the teaching profession.
This year I am pleased to again be teaching AP/Dual Credit English, after which students receive six college credits.
During the 3rd trimester, we are offering a new dual credit course, Fundamentals of Speech, an introductory speech course required by most colleges and universities. I have the honor of teaching this new course.
In addition, I have the continued honor of helping students improve their reading scores on the ACT assessment in our College Readiness class. I’ll be finishing out the second and third trimesters teaching the music/dance portion of Arts and Humanities, a required course for all sophomores. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of
Montevallo, Alabama with a double major in music and English. My Master of Arts degree from the University of Louisville focuses on my
calling: teaching. In 1993 I
earned National Board Certification in the area of Adolescence and Young Adulthood English/Language Arts. I look forward to a great school year. |
