Course Description:
This course is
an intermediate scientific study of environmental technology. It is designed to
develop an awareness of environmental concerns related to air, water, soil,
land use management, waste management, and their interrelationship with the
biological ecosystem. Soil formation, conservation and evaluation material will
also be included. Content will be enhanced with appropriate computer
applications, scientific laboratory activities, field experimentation,
community development projects, and occupational development. Leadership
development will be provided through FFA.

Expectations for this
course:
Each student
will be expected to keep a daily notebook and to participate in all class
activities. Throughout the course of
the class, you will be doing individual and group activities, and both written
and hands-on projects. Each student
will also be expected to have an agriculture experience program and keep proper
records.
Topics to be discussed:
Grading:
Grades
will be based on exams, quizzes, daily work, and landscape project
participation. The notebook will count
as one quiz grade. Exams will have the
highest weight, followed by the quizzes and group projects, and lastly, the
daily assignments. The CHHS grading
scale will be used.
