G.C. BURKHEAD SITE BASED COUNCIL

MINUTES

July 19, 2011 4:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by the chairperson, Bryan Lewis, with the following members present: Rebecca Bauer, Toni Driggers, Bryan Lewis, Ann Marie Reilly, and Susie Sherrard.

Members absent – Rachel Will

APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Rebecca Bauer motioned to approve agenda. Ann Marie Reilly seconded. Motion carried by consensus.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Rebecca Bauer motioned to approve the minutes for May 10, 2011. Susie Sherrard seconded. Motion carried by consensus.

RECOGNITION OF VISITORS – No visitors present

Discussion was held on choosing a vice-chairperson for the upcoming school year. Rebecca Bauer volunteered to serve as vice-chairperson.

Discussion was held on a new meeting time and date for council meetings. G.C. Burkhead’s SBDM Council meeting will be held on the 2^nd Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. pending any conflicts.

Mr. Lewis gave an overview of the 2010/2011 MAP/NRT Data and also provided council members with a copy of the results.

Mr. Lewis announced the retirement of Pam Milby and the resignation of Christen Priefer. Mr. Lewis also informed council members of new staff hired during the summer – Interventionist; Holly Moberly, 3^rd grade teacher; Heather Korrell, 5^th grade teacher; Neysa McInteer, Counselor; Lori Indalecio.

Council members received the financial report for June 2011.

NEW BUSINESS – No new business was discussed.

ADJOURNMENT – There being no further business, Ann Marie Reilly motioned to adjourn the meeting.  Susie Sherrard seconded. Motion carried by consensus.
