Future Redistricting

for Hardin County Schools

HCS is growing, and we anticipate continued growth in the coming years. We have responded to this growth with remodeling the current schools, and building new schools in strategic areas, where the need is greatest. This makes it necessary to redistrict school zones to accommodate the new students and new schools. In accordance with KRS.160.290 regarding general powers and duties of the Board determining school attendance, which states: "The school board has a right to determine which school within the district a pupil shall attend. Hines v. Pulaski County Board of Education, 292 KY.100,166 S.W2d 37 (1942)", the following changes have been proposed.
