Hardin County Schools has created a webpage for students to utilize when seeking scholarship information.
Organizations offering scholarships are asked to send all information regarding the scholarships they offer to the HCS Superintendent’s Office so it can be placed on the district’s website. Students can find the information under the “Students” tab above.
Direct links can also be found by typing one of the following websites into a web browser:
Information can still be obtained through each school’s counseling office.
“We hope this will make things easier for everyone,” HCS Superintendent Teresa Morgan said. “Those offering scholarships will be able to submit information like eligibility requirements, deadlines and facts about their organization. Students will be able to find everything in one central location.”
Information on scholarships offered by state, national or international groups or by colleges and universities can still be obtained from the group, institution or high school guidance offices.
“This website is not meant to take the place of visiting the guidance counselors or the transition coaches in our high schools to find scholarship information,” HCS Community Relations Specialist John Wright said. “That face-to-face interaction is critical and we still encourage students and parents to make those visits. This site is intended to act as a supplement to students seeking scholarships.”
