Mission
Statement
Hardin County Schools, in partnership with Hardin Fiscal
Court and Department of Juvenile Justice, provides an educational component for the Hardin
County Juvenile Detention Center. An instructional staff consisting of three teachers and
one instructional assistant provides full day individual tutorial instruction in the basic
subject areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies based on the
needs of each student as determined through diagnostic assessment. Hardin Fiscal Court
provides classroom space, equipment and materials needed for instruction. The capacity of
the program allows instruction for approximately fifty-eight students who may be housed in
the Detention Center. Each student may have the opportunity to work toward completing
their high school diploma through our Hardin County High School program or obtain
a GED. |
