Assistant Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Joseph Honaker and, as some of you probably have heard, I’ve just accepted the assistant principal’s position here at Meadow View Elementary School. I’m very excited about this awesome opportunity and look forward to working with each of you to better improve our school and focusing on what really matters; our students. I hope that this letter finds you well and I would like to take the time to thank you for what you have personally done thus far to better the lives of your student and our students as a whole here at Meadow View.

I am currently going into my 12th year as an educator. I started my career at North Middle School and spent six years there before I transferred to West Hardin Middle School, where I spent my last five years. Most of my experience is in Social Studies although I have dabbled with a little bit of Reading, Language Arts, and Math. I have my undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University in Middle Grades Education for both Language Arts and Social Studies. I also have a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Rank I in Administration.

I would also like to take the time to tell you a little bit about me as a person. I am married to my lovely wife, Kayla, who is also a teacher. I have three beautiful children named Bella, Brantley, and Cole. Bella is currently six years old, Brantley is four, and Cole is 6 months old. As you can imagine it is very busy at my house and never a dull moment but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I am passionate about education and our students here in the Hardin County district. I look forward to serving the communities of Radcliff and Vine Grove with that passion and making a difference in the lives of our students. I look forward to meeting you all personally at open house as well as other events throughout the school year. Let’s work together to make it the best year possible. Be blessed and go Trojans!

Joe Honaker
